If you would like to talk through what might be possible, then please get in touch with the Vicar. We are here to help support you and encourage you if we can.

We want to make the day special and memorable for you. This means getting to know you and planning for the service together.

Please get in touch with the Vicar to arrange an appointment and he can go through the necessary practical arrangements.

Some frequently asked questions:

Q. How do I book a wedding at St Mary's?
A. The first step is to phone the Vicar on 01564 772415, or e-mail him, or come to Church on Sunday morning and have a word with him after the service.

Q. Do I have to live locally to be married at St Mary's?
A. Legally you have to have an address in St Mary's Parish or belong to St Mary's Church. Please consult with the Vicar on this matter.

Q. Can I get married at St. Mary's if I have been divorced?
A. St Mary's is a Church that marries divorced people, but the Vicar will want to explore some of the details surrounding you previous marriage.

Q. What are Banns?
A. This is when your names are read out publicly in Church to say that you are planning to get married. It is a very old custom which helps stop people committing bigamy!

Q. How much will it cost to get married at St. Mary's?
A. Please ask the Vicar for a list of fees.

Q. Can we video the service?
A. Yes.

Q. Can we have what music we like at the wedding?
A. Yes, we try to help people chose what they want - and we often have experience of what works and what doesn't!

Q. Can we have what flowers we want?
A. Yes
