Locate Architects was started in January 2004 and operates as a sole trader, with Chris Morgan as the Principal. This means that the personal attention of the Principal can be given to every project, although we do work in collaboration with others when necessary.

Chris Morgan is ARB chartered. He is a member of  the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland, the Scottish Ecological Design Association, of which he is currently Co-Chair, the Association of Environment Conscious Building and the UK Straw Bale Building Association. He also sits on the Advisory Board for the Centre for Timber Engineering at Napier University in Edinburgh. Links to these organisations and others are given in the Links section under Resources.

The Practice carries £0.5million professional indemnity insurance, is mac-based and located in Portobello, Edinburgh.
