Locate worked in collaboration with Christopher Pyemont on the preparation of a Feasibility Study for potential commercial development in Glen Cochill, just south of Aberfeldy, linked to a proposed major wind farm adjacent to the land owned by our Client.

The study aimed to determine the planning and local socio-economic context for a potential development and seek to establish guidelines for a sustainable development to include likely tourist facilities and accommodation. Guidelines have been set for the environmental, architectural and landscape parameters of any development, along with a sustainable energy, waste and resources infrastructure to hopefully tie in not only with the Wind Farm but existing and proposed local initiatives in Aberfeldy.

The Feasibility Study was completed in April and will be submitted to the Local Authority to be considered in conjunction with the Wind Farm proposals.
