The ABC Group approached Locate to carry out a feasibility into a potential new Village Hall for the three communities. The three villages lie within a few miles of each other around the Locheil Estate, just North of Spean Bridge on the other side of the Caledonian Canal and between Loch Arkaig and Loch Lochy.

An existing Estate building has fallen into disrepair and is no longer sufficient for the needs of the community, nor the demands of the 21st Century. The aspiration is to prepare plans for a modern and highly sustainable building with much greater flexibility, all abilities access and low running costs.

After an initial visit, efforts are underway to learn more about the potential localised social and economic opportunities with which the project could usefully engage. Once we have a better understanding of these, and of the preferred site, we can develop appropriate building plans, specifications and costs.
